We made the long blade of the Fomon knife with a sharp side to incise soft nasal tissues with clean cuts.  In addition, the other edge of the blade is blunt to prevent damage to surrounding structures. You can use the blunt edge to lift tissues smoothly. In addition, its straight profile allows you to see the working tip in small spaces.
